Who I am

I have been an attorney for more than 25 years. I have worked both in the government, including four years’ employment at Social Security, and in the private-sector.

My specialty is administrative hearings. Social Security judges conduct administrative hearings to make their decisions on applications for disability benefits. I was on the staff of a congressionally mandated study of administrative hearings when I worked in Washington, D. C. I have defended Social Security in court; I have also filed many winning lawsuits against it.

Since August 2000, I have been in private practice in San Francisco. I am a member of the bar of the states of California and New York and for the District of Columbia.
